So I assumed OP is either a child or seriously technically illiterate when it comes to mac machines, hence why he needs more guidance that what steam forums can provide. He might be on a machine that doesn't even support the latest version. Machines older than? Do not work with certain OS. I know this, I have an old 2006 MBP and other older machines that won't install to Mavericks at all even if it is free. Furthermore there are issues with certain older OS being removed from the App store entirely. So he is going to need more help than just going to app store and installing if he is on a machine like this. See article below: @OP if you are not a child, then my apologies.
